Oklahoma Conference Elects James Shires as President

On May 25, 2017, the Executive Committee of the Oklahoma Conference of Seventh-day Adventists voted James Shires as president. Shires, formerly prayer ministries coordinator, had recently been elected to serve as executive secretary during the 69th Regular Constituency Session held on April 30, 2017. The selection of Executive Secretary will be decided at the June 27 Executive Committee meeting, along with other vacancies.  James Shires has previously stated that, “The Oklahoma Conference has a dedicated and Spirit-led group of pastors committed to the task of sharing the Three Angels’ messages in the context of the everlasting gospel
